I am not an expert. But I am a working mom living a fit life after a significant weight loss. I am an expert on what worked for me, and I love helping people figure out what will work for them.
I joined Weight Watchers in December 2009 with a view to lose 50+ lbs. I lost 70lbs and reached my goal on July 30, 2010. I am now a Lifetime Member of Weight Watchers and still maintaining my goal weight.
In 2013 I began running. I have completed six half marathons so far, and countless 10 and 5k races. I’m not fast, but I get it done! Most recently we completed the runDisney Star Wars Half Marathon in Disneyland!
I am an Independent Team Beachbody Coach. Since beginning my own weight loss journey I have found my passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals. I love the Beachbody workout programs and have had and seen fantastic results through our challenge groups.
My blog posts are musings about life in general, rants about my kids not sleeping or listening, Beachbody info, the trials and tribulations of my running, confessions…anything and everything that makes up this awesome life.
People have often asked to see a before and after picture to illustrate the change I experienced on Weight Watchers. I was very careful to not allow many photos in my “before” life, because I didn’t like seeing myself. Most pictures had me hiding behind friends or eventually my kids, or with the standard “hand under the chin” pose to try and make my face appear thinner. Here is one of the very few pictures of me “before,” in June 2008. The “after” is right after I finished my second half marathon, in May 2013.
