Hi there, I’m Gillian. Nice to “meet” you!

I’m a working mom of 2 kids, with an awesome husband (we call him Mr Awesome) and a super busy job. I get it. Life is non-stop, always moving, it can be overwhelming and it can be easy to put yourself last.

I always struggled with my weight and body image. I was (and still am) a stress eater. I gained a lot of weight when I was pregnant with our son and never lost it – in fact, I gained a lot more. I was 230lbs before we got pregnant with our daughter, and 247lbs when she was born. I was in love with my little family but completely unhappy with myself. I hated looking in the mirror, I avoided photos. I would delude myself with new outfits, excuses and self-depricating humour.

One day something finally clicked. I knew something had to change.  I knew I had to take care of MYSELF, so that I would be able to take care of my family. I had the courage to START. I started working out and changed my eating habits. I have learned about good nutrition and using food for physical nourishment instead of emotional.  I lost 80lbs and I am still keeping it off. I fell in love with fitness and built an entirely new relationship with my body and with food. And I fell in love with helping others to make healthy changes in their own lives. I became an online fitness coach to help busy women like me to break through their excuses and crush their goals.
